It all started with a deep breath.
Hi, I'm Ashley, the founder of Simple Nôrth.
I had been a Massage Therapist for several years and knew the profound ability of touch to heal and soothe mind and body. But I wanted a way to extend that sense of calm beyond the massage table. The answer came in the form of a flickering flame, the calming warmth and ambiance of a candle, and the transformative essence of fragrance. I came to this discovery when it was time to complete my annual continuing education studies, and I developed a fascination with the power of fragrance.
I immersed myself in the world of Aromatherapy, captivated by how fragrance can evoke memories, elevate mood, and cultivate a sense of tranquility and peace of mind. Amidst my certification process, my studies provided knowledge and instruction on creating various products for home and health. However, candles captured my heart immediately. So I began making candles, experimenting with natural, sustainable ingredients that were healthier for both body and home while dreaming up nature-inspired fragrances designed to evoke moments of reverie in beautiful natural landscapes.
Each handcrafted candle became a labor of love, a testament to the power of simple pleasures, and a celebration of the small yet significant moments that make life beautiful.
